Iran female editor attends Afghan film premiere at Venice fest

Iran film editor Mastaneh Mohajer has attended world premiere of Afghan movie ‘Hava, Maryam, Ayesha’ at Venice fest as film crew.

The artist who is the wife to Iran star actor Pejman Bazeghi was one of the participants at the opening of the Afghan flick by Sahraa Karimi held at the latest edition of Venice International Film Festival in Italy.

The Afghan offering was a selection featured at the Orizzonti section of the fest.

The pic, which had its world premiere Friday at the Venice Film Festival, chronicles the lives and difficult choices facing three Afghan women from different social backgrounds.

Arezou Ariapour, Fereshta Afshar and Hasiba Ebrahimi are the main cast.

The Afghan movie will have three world screenings with the first held at Venice fest.

The 76th annual Venice International Film Festival is slated for August 28 –September 7, 2019 in Italy.
